The UT503PV is a photovoltaic insulation tester that measures insulation resistance on live PV systems at up to 1000 V DC, so a string can be checked without taking the array offline or short-circuiting panels. It tests to IEC 62446.
Test voltages are selectable at 125 V, 250 V, 500 V, and 1000 V, with insulation resistance read up to 4000 MΩ at ±(1.5% + 5). DC voltage measures 5 V to 1000 V and AC voltage 5 V to 600 V, both at ±(1% + 4). Short-circuit current stays under 1.5 mA (1.2 mA in PV mode). Stepped-voltage testing, a comparison function, a high-voltage alarm, automatic discharge, and storage for 1000 result sets with USB and Bluetooth transfer support field work. The instrument is rated CAT II 1000 V / CAT III 600 V and sealed to IP54 for outdoor use.
It suits solar installation, commissioning, and operations and maintenance where live-string insulation testing is required.
