The UT256 is a True-RMS fork (open-jaw) clamp meter for tight spaces. The 15 mm open fork slips onto a conductor from the side — without threading a closed jaw around it — to measure AC and DC current up to 60 A. It is rated CAT III 600 V.
True-RMS sensing keeps readings accurate on distorted waveforms, and non-contact voltage detection, relative and zero modes, a backlit display, auto power-off, and a 1 m drop rating make it a quick, one-handed tool.
It suits electricians working in crowded panels and junction boxes where a closed jaw will not fit.
