The USG3065M is an analog RF signal generator covering 9 kHz to 6.5 GHz with 0.001 Hz frequency resolution and a level range of −135 dBm to +25 dBm. Single-sideband phase noise is typically below −122 dBc/Hz at 1 GHz (20 kHz offset), amplitude accuracy is ≤0.7 dB typical, and frequency switching is ≤40 ms, suiting both bench R&D and automated test.
It delivers AM, FM, and phase (ΦM) analog modulation from a built-in 50 MHz function/arbitrary waveform generator or an external input, with a standard electronic step attenuator (0 to 110 dB) for fast, contact-free level switching in high-cycle automation. Step and list sweep (2 to 65,535 step points, 1 to 500 list points), a high-stability internal reference (≤±0.2 ppm/year aging, ≤10 ppb temperature effect), and a 10 MHz reference in/out support multi-instrument synchronization. Optional pulse and narrow-pulse modulation (80 dB on/off ratio) extends the instrument into pulsed-RF and radar-component test. A 5-inch touch screen with a signal-flow interface, LAN, USB Host, and USB Device are standard (GPIB optional), with SCPI automation and browser-based web control; an optional license adds power readback and flatness correction with a user-supplied USB power sensor.
As an analog source it suits stimulus work that depends on spectral purity and level accuracy: component characterization, amplifier and filter test, mixer and LNA evaluation, receiver and spectrum-analyzer calibration, and production-line RF stimulus. Certified to CE, cETLus, and RoHS.
