The USG3045V is a vector RF signal generator covering 9 kHz to 4.5 GHz (CW) with 0.001 Hz frequency resolution and a level range of −135 dBm to +25 dBm. Single-sideband phase noise is typically below −122 dBc/Hz at 1 GHz (20 kHz offset), amplitude accuracy is ≤0.7 dB typical, and frequency switching is ≤40 ms.
It adds a real-time digital modulation engine with 150 MHz of baseband bandwidth to the analog signal source, supporting real-time QAM, PSK, FSK, and ASK with selectable filter shapes, ARB waveform-file playback, multi-carrier and multi-tone modes, and AWGN injection for receiver testing. Typical QPSK EVM is 0.4 % at a 1 GHz carrier and 5G NR ACPR is typically below −55 dBc at a 3.8 GHz carrier. Native ZigBee and Z-Wave generation is built in, and 5G NR, WLAN, LTE, and Bluetooth protocol simulation is supported with companion PC software (sold separately). AM, FM, and phase (ΦM) analog modulation, a built-in 50 MHz function/arbitrary waveform generator, a standard electronic step attenuator (0 to 110 dB) for fast, contact-free level switching in high-cycle automation, an OCXO high-stability reference (≤±0.2 ppm/year aging), and 10 MHz reference and I/Q baseband I/O round out the platform. A 5-inch touch screen, LAN, USB Host, and USB Device are standard (GPIB optional), with SCPI automation, browser-based web control, and an optional USB-power-sensor license.
It suits protocol-aware wireless R&D and commercial production test — 5G NR, WLAN, LTE, Bluetooth, and IoT devices — plus calibration labs running specification verification. Certified to CE, cETLus, and RoHS.
