The MSO3054X is a 500 MHz, 4-channel mixed signal oscilloscope. It provides a 5 GSa/s real-time sample rate (interleave), 500 Mpts of acquisition memory, and Ultra Phosphor 3.0 waveform mapping up to 2,000,000 wfms/s in Sequential Mode (800,000 wfms/s standard) on a 10.1-inch capacitive multi-touch display.
The 8-bit front end extends to 12 effective bits with ERES, and a calculated rise time of ≤0.7 ns captures rise-time and overshoot detail on faster MCU and FPGA designs, switching-converter gate drives, and mid-bandwidth signal-integrity work. The instrument integrates oscilloscope, optional 16-channel logic analyzer, optional arbitrary waveform generator, 1.25 GHz spectrum analyzer, 4-digit digital voltmeter, 7-digit hardware frequency counter, protocol analyzer, Bode plot, and optional power analyzer. Twelve protocol decoders span computer, automotive, audio, and aerospace bus families — RS-232/422/485/UART, I²C, and SPI standard, with CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, FlexRay, SENT, Audio, MIL-STD-1553B, ARINC 429, and Manchester optional. An optional 50 MHz dual-channel, 16-bit AWG includes the Bode plot analyzer. Remote control is available over USB 3.0, LAN (VXI-11), SCPI, and a built-in web server, and firmware updates are free.
With 500 Mpts memory for long protocol-event and transient capture, zone triggering, and 54 automated measurements, it suits mixed-signal R&D validation, power-electronics characterization, and engineering benches that need protocol decode, spectrum, generator, and power analysis alongside scope acquisition.
